Transportation Infrastructure: Planning And Design (TIPD 2021)

Objective

School of Civil Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University aims at imparting theory,

practical and software application related to highway planning, pavement analysis and design through one-month training programme to students of

Civil Engineering via online mode.

Overview

The training focuses on state of the art highway alignment planning, layout and cross section of roads, material characterisation, flexible pavement design using ‘IIT Pave’, overlay design using back calculation software ‘KGP Back’ and rigid pavement design using ‘IIT Rigid’ as per latest IRC codes. Most important part of this internship programme will be exposure to pavement softwares like ‘IIT Pave’, ‘IIT Rigid’ and ‘KGP Back’ for design of pavements. This programme also covers the road construction technique using advance equipments, preparation bill of quantity (BOQ) for road work.
