Project related to: Strategy focusing on fecal sludge and septage management (FSSM)
Project designation: Urban FSSM Fellow
Project role: District coordinator – TSU FSSM
Project location: District headquarter of any of the districts in Northern, Western or Southern Odisha
Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- to 25,000/- Per Month ( Depending upon experience and performance), Extra TA and DA during execution of works.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Urban or Regional Planning
Experience:
- Upto 2 years work experience. Candidates with experience of environment project, civil construction project or experience of working with government department shall be preferred.
- Odia speaking candidates shall be preferred but is not a mandatory requirement
Job description:
- Coordinate with TSU team members in conducting and monitoring day to day activities and deliver the outputs at respective city and corresponding district. Activities would cover multiple interventions such as:
► Facilitating land allocation process for treatment plant and other activities
► Construction of faecal sludge treatment plant
► Facilitate tendering and bid processes for various interventions
► Operationalizing cesspool emptying services and treatment plant
► Support in conducting capacity building and communication activities with relevant stakeholders
► Enable implementation of FSSM Regulations 2018 by liasoning with multiple monitoring and enforcement agencies - Support TSU team members in gathering relevant primary and secondary data from ULB and other sources
- Support in developing weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports for submission to city and district administration on program implementation
- Coordinate with team members from other PMUs or projects in supporting ULBs of identified districts for implementation of sanitation improvement interventions
- Support in any task that is allocated from TSU team members which impacts program
6. In addition to this, team member is expected to support ULB, in consultation with Team Leader of TSU-FSSM, on additional activities that may emerge during course of project.
