Major Highlights of collaboration with L &T EduTech

  • Course Delivery by the Industry Experts will provide a real-time learning experience for students.
  • Experiential Learning through Projects in each subject will enhance the application knowledge of students.
  • Advanced Learning Management System (LMS) will record various attributes of a student participating in the system. Access to LMS will also be available to KIIT faculty.
  • Self-paced e-learning content enriched with industry-relevant software applications, will provide hands-on learning experience to the students as well as the faculty members.
  • Opportunities given for industrial immersion, placement facilitation for students undergoing training under these programs and industrial internship for selected students.

1. Nanhua University, Taiwan

Nanhua University (NHU) in Taiwan and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in India have signed a MoU to foster academic exchange and cooperation between the institutions.

In this regard NHU offered Scholarship based Master Program in “Green Technology for Sustainability” for our graduating Civil Engineering Students under Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) from the Minister of Education.

2. Warsaw University of Life Science – SGGW, POLAND

Erasmus Mundus Action two Program, EUPHRATES Project (10 months Bachelor Exchange Program in the field of Civil Engineering at the faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering)

3. Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), UK

KIIT has signed a MoUs with Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), UK in the year 2018 to facilitate collaborative research and teaching in both the universities. Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), is one of the premier University in the world offering Railways Engineering. As per the agreement, SHU has been agreed to offer one year M.Tech programme, one semester abroad programme for B.Tech students and summer school .

1.  MoU signing with Ernst and Young LLP

The MOU was called for as a part of the vision ‘Swachh Odisha Sustha Odisha’ of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha by adopting sanitation through Faecal Sludge and Septage Management (FSSM). The E & Y led TSU has engaged Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneshwar in 8 districts of Odisha to build local technical capabilities and execute the interventions.

The partnership focuses on two areas:
(1) Urban FSSM Fellowship Program to support at program delivery at district level
(2) Technical support through R&D to identify improvement in existing FSSM infrastructure

2. MoU signing with Ministry of drinking water and sanitation & ORMAS, Govt of Odisha to provide mason training program at Gram-Panchayat/ Block level.

The objective of the training is to improve the quality of construction and also to ensure availability of skilled mason for construction of house at village. This training is included under the scheme of PMAY-G, Ministry of Rural Mason Training.

In order to enhance the employability of students, the school offers a unique skill based programme entitled “Graduate Engineering Training (GET)”. This programme is run by the school in collaboration with the industries. The uniqueness of this program is that elective subjects are offered to the students based on the requirements of a specific company. The pedagogical design of the courses including themode of classroom lecture delivery and the laboratory componentsare completely devised by eminent resource persons from the collaborating industry as per their requirement. The GET programme is one of the recent success stories of Industry-institute partnership which not only increases the employability of students but also provides a platform for close result-oriented Industry-institute interaction.
