Biography and academic profile

Dr. Aparupa Pani earned her B.Tech in Civil Engineering from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, and M.Tech/Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from NIT Rourkela, specializing in industrial waste management with an MHRD scholarship. Awarded Best Presenter at IGC 2015, she now focuses on geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering, including chemical and phytoremediation treatment of contaminated soil and groundwater, sustainable waste management, and climate-resilient agriculture. Her work integrates renewable energy in drying technologies, bio-based solutions for soil water retention, and fly ash stabilization for resilient infrastructure. Currently acting as Associate Professor & Associate Dean Research, she has published widely, reviews for leading journals, and collaborates with industry and government. She recently secured a ₹42 lakh SERB_CRG grant as the principal investigator. Passionate about learning and collaborative research, she believes such efforts lead to innovative solutions.
