Programme overview

Planning the mobility of tomorrow

The M.Tech. programme in Transportation Engineering equips engineers with advanced expertise to plan, design, modernize, and manage complex transport systems and modern mobility infrastructure. Its curriculum integrates highway design, traffic engineering, pavement technology, and intelligent transit systems to meet the demands of growing urban centers and national infrastructure projects.

Traffic Engineering & Operations

Traffic flow analysis, signal design and operational management of road networks.

Transportation Planning & Demand Modelling

Forecasting travel demand and planning multi-modal transport systems.

Pavement Engineering & Infrastructure Management

Design, evaluation and maintenance of pavement infrastructure.

Smart Mobility & Autonomous Transportation Systems

Emerging technologies in intelligent and autonomous transport systems.

Key Features
01

Pavement Design & Materials

Covers advanced pavement analysis, sustainable construction materials, pavement maintenance systems and accelerated highway rehabilitation techniques.

02

Traffic Engineering & Smart Mobility

Emphasizes traffic flow modeling, signal design, crash data analytics and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for real-time traffic management.

03

Urban Transport Planning

Focuses on travel demand forecasting, multi-modal transport integration, public transit design and sustainable mobility policy.

04

Infrastructure Analytics & Safety

Integrates GIS applications in transportation planning, highway safety auditing and transport economics to prepare graduates for infrastructure consulting, planning agencies and research roles.
