Prasanna Kumar Acharya
Associate Professor II
Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya has been serving as an Associate Professor in the School of Civil Engineering at KIIT DU, Bhubaneswar, since January 2020. Before his academic tenure, he amassed over 30 years of extensive professional experience in the Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Odisha. During his distinguished career in PWD, he successfully led and executed numerous large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, road over bridges (ROBs), and high-rise buildings. He also holds specialized expertise in the rehabilitation and retrofitting of civil engineering structures.
Dr. Acharya’s research interests encompass sustainable construction materials, circular economy, green concrete technology, geopolymer concrete, functionally graded concrete, and structural rehabilitation techniques. He has published several research papers in reputed international journals, contributing significantly to advancements in sustainable and innovative construction technologies.

Worked as a Project Formulation Team Member for NHAI Projects“ Improvement to Road Infrastructure Ecosystem in the Country under Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) for two stretches of highway- Stretch 1- Chandikhole to Bhadrak (NH-16)-74.5 KM, Stretch 2- Panokoili to Remuli (NH-20)-166 KM.
