Biography and academic profile

Dr. Kshyana Prava Samal is currently serving as an Associate Professor and Associate Dean at the School of Civil Engineering, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She earned her PhD in Water Resources Engineering from IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand, in 2009, where she was a full-time research scholar under MHRD fellowship. With over 15 years of post-PhD teaching experience ,she began her academic career at Anna University College, Tamil Nadu, as an Assistant Professor from 2010 to 2013, then promoted to Associate Professor (2013-2016). Dr. Samal has published numerous research papers in various journals and conferences. She has also been awarded two projects by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR)-IMPRESS for the years 2019-2021 and a major research project for 2022-2024. Her research interests include water quality analysis and modeling, groundwater modeling, flow through porous media, and irrigation and water management in the context of climate change.
