Dr. Thakur holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing & Geoinformatics from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, India, and boasts over 15 years of expertise in national and state-level geospatial research organizations. His interdisciplinary research encompasses geospatial analytics, disaster risk reduction, sustainable natural resource management, ecohydrology, urban geospatial planning, coastal resilience, biodiversity conservation, and machine learning applications in geospatial domains. By leveraging geospatial technologies, Dr. Thakur’s work has significantly advanced our understanding of natural disasters, resource dynamics, and environmental perturbations, thereby informing evidence-based policy and practice globally. His scholarly contributions include over 22 peer-reviewed articles, 2 patents, 1 book, and multiple book chapters.
