About the faculty member

Biography and academic profile

Dr. Purnachandra Saha is a Professor in School of Civil Engineering at KIIT DU, Bhubaneswar, India. He joined KIIT-DU in 2013 and has been involved in various teaching ( UG & PG), and research activities. He received his PhD from IIT Bombay (Structural/ Earthquake Engineering) and teaching in Universities since 2009. He has worked in a multinational company (mainly design of industrial structure before completing his doctoral degree) for seven and half years. He has written more than 130 research articles (Journal & Conference Papers) till date. Dr. Saha has established ASCE KIIT student chapter in 2016 and Faculty Advisor of the Chapter since the beginning. He Guided B. Tech & M.Tech students to won National Level Steel Design Competition organized by INSDAG, Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India for 6 times. He is the Member of ASCE, IE (I), EERI, ACI, INAE and Council of Vibration Specialists
